Making autoresponders work for you

Autoresponders are emails sent automatically after initial set up (also called triggered emails).

Sometimes these are sent as a one off, but increasingly users are sending a sequence of emails.  Responders are sent when a subscriber meets a condition you state at the point of set up; for example, when someone joins your list, their date of birth, or a month since someone purchased from your store.

Basically, you set out a few simple rules about when a autoresponder should be sent and tell MailAway what email to send. We'll do the rest.

An example of how an autoresponder could work would be; send an email to subscribers when they first join your list, send a quick update a week later and then a final follow up a month after they have signed up.

You can set up an unlimited sequence of emails for each type of autoresponder you create; combine these with data-based custom fields and the possibilities are endless.

There are three different types of triggers on the system; subscription date (to allow for a series of welcome messages), anniversary (so yearly reminders of a birthday), or a one off specific date (like a membership expiry).

Reporting you can learn from

The great thing about the autoresponder reports is that you can actually learn from them, just like a normal campagin report. At a glance we give you an overview of the basics like how many emails have been sent, the average open rate, click rate and unsubscribe rate and much more.

The cost

To keep in line with our super simple pricing model, autoresponders are charged at the same great rate as our normal per email cost of just 2p per email (without the campaign charge).
